I was born in Mantua but I am Venetian by adoption. Venice is where learned the art of catering, foreign languages - and my passion for the local cooking. The experience I gained abroad, in Vienna and Germany, strengthened my quest - including for products and their combinations - a continuous challenge made up of sacrifice, perseverance and total dedication to this work. I believe that if you want to get to know Venice, it’s not enough to visit St. Mark’s Square, the Grand Canal, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Rialto Bridge and the other art spots associated with tourism. You really have to savour the city’s aromas and flavours too.
With my family, I manage the restaurant Vecia Cavana. Here we welcome guests in a refined but cosy atmosphere, giving them a unique culinary experience – we let the traditional dishes be the real stars of a delectable journey among typical Venetian tastes.
